Create curiosity CIC
Equality & Diversity Policy
Create Curiosity CIC is committed to equality for every person regardless of their age, disability, race, ethnicity, colour, religion (includes non-religious), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marital status or civil partnership.
Accessibility
We aim to deliver all training in a manner and location that is accessible to all, including wheelchair users. We continually reassess our access requirements to meet the needs of all staff, Associates and participants.
Diversity
Create Curiosity CIC values diversity and promotes it as an important British value. All staff and volunteers treat others equally, with dignity and respect regardless of any differences and promote a learning environment free from discrimination.
Inclusion and Respect
Everyone should be made to feel equally welcome, included and respected at all Create Curiosity CIC events. Discrimination in any form will not be tolerated among staff, volunteers or participants attending training sessions. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise offensive and inflammatory jokes, remarks and/or behaviour will be considered harassment and will not be tolerated.
Dealing with Discrimination and Harassment
If any person feels they have been discriminated against by Create Curiosity CIC or at a Create Curiosity CIC event they should raise this with one of the Directors.
The Directors will investigate the complaint, listening to all those involved and following Create Curiosity CIC’s Complaints Procedure. This may result in a decision to exclude a person from being a Create Curiosity CIC director, staff member, or volunteer, or from attending a Create Curiosity CIC event due to their discriminatory or harassing behaviour.
Create Curiosity CIC will support people who feel they have been harassed or discriminated against and will not victimise or treat them less well because they have raised this.
Create Curiosity CIC are committed to reviewing our policy and good practice annually.
